Happy first Birthday Ashton!!

Ashton Turned one on September 13. I can't believe that he is already one! Where has the time gone? I remember the day i went into to labor (september 12) and how scared and nervous we were. We didn't know if he would survive being that he was 8 weeks early or how big he would be. The 31 hours I was in labor were all a blur I only remember few parts of it, and thankfully the most special parts are the ones that I do remember! I remember seeing him for the first time and all we wanted was for him to grow and get bigger and stronger and he has done that now I just want time to slow down my baby is getting so big! Ashton is truly a miracle to us and I don't think that either Matt or I would know what to do anymore without him! He is such a joy to have around! We love you little bugga!! Anyway on his birthday we had a party for him just at our house it was lots of fun!

Today i had a very scary experience..we were up at my parents and we took moose up to visit kya well my mom gave moose a treat and he started making choking noises but he does that alot so i thought no big deal but kept watching him and he laid his head down on the ground and started using his cute little paws and scratching his face. (this same thing happened to matt not to long ago with moose and he did the same thing!)I yelled to my parents and they ran over and started rubbing him my mom said she felt something in his throat so my dad reached in to grab it out..and it was just not coming out so my mom ran to get the phone book to caLl the vet while my dad ran to the car with him in hopes to get there in time then he started to get a little air in so we tried once more to get it out and he reached in once more and moose bit my dad because he was so scared..this time it went down and moose was a happy puppy and wagging his tail! And during all this time i am running around frantic crying and yelling "we cant lose him we cant lose him!!" Like matt said the thing moose loves most might be the death of him!! We sure hope not we love you moosey and are so happy you are still here!!

6 months!

Well ashton is now 6 months old! Very crazy he has already been here half of a year!! We went to the dr. And he is growing well! He is 14.5 pounds now. When the nurse measured ashs head she didnt say anything then the dr. Came in checked everything and re- measured his head. she said his head has grown so much i just want to make sure that the measurment is right...ha ha i guess he has a large head, she said its nothing to be worried about i guess he can just takes after his his daddy!! he can now eat solids, she said anything we want (of course just baby food) juice, and water! We tried turkey he HATES it!! He gagged the whole time..i guess we wont try that again! He still LOVES bath time! He cant roll over just yet.. he sure tries though. He giggles but only for matt so far. Loves his jumperoo. I swear a tooth is just waiting to pop through he drools like a mad man and bites on his hands or teethers all day! He has found his toes and plays with them any chance he gets! We love him more and more each day! (Even moose does!)

Valentines Day

On Valentines day I had the best surprise ever...My two boys come to my work with Roses and Breakfast for our favorite place Einsteins! What more could a girl ask for?! When I got home from work Matt had also gotten me some new clothes! I asked him how he got those because he had been working all week and then when he wasn't I was pretty much always with him.. Well he said Yesterday when me and Derek (his brother) went hunting we didn't stay all day hunting we came back a little early and actually did some shopping! How sweet! haha I said I bet that was funny watching two guys in their hunting clothes walking around shopping for womens clothes together! We didn't want to go out and fight the crowds especially with little Ash so we stayed home watched a movie and made some dinner.. I must say I enjoyed that much much more! Well It was a great day and I love BOTH my valentines so much!

Well Yesterday when I got off work I asked Matt how Ashton had been all day...He starts laughing so hard and says you will see! So I figure it is a poopy diaper he left me with (he really hates changing those!) or he had been fussy all morning but oh NOOO... This is what I saw when I got home!!
If you can't tell he buzzed ALL of what hair he had left!! I know he did not have much but there was some left in the back but not now!! Yes I did cry ha ha I am a baby!! But I want my babies to have lots of hair! Matt said to me "I just cleaned up his ugly hair and I wont do it again. It was very necessary and the sooner it was done the faster it will all grow in like a human being not like old man withers" Oh man what am I going to do with him?!?

Just Relaxin..

Yes we had to give him a little hair cut.. He has started to lose all of his hair and there are some super ugly long hairs on top so we just gave them a little trim.
Moose really really loves him! He always has to be by his side.

We also attempted giving him some rice cereal.. bad idea he hated it and started gagging!

Well it has been a while... I started working again and am loving only being there about 4 1/2 hours a day then get to come home and spend time with my wonderful husband when he is off work and Ashton! We had a really good new years just stayed home which was really nice! Ashton had his four month well baby visit which I can't believe how fast time is flying he will be five months in 8 days! Where is it all going, in one month he will have been alive half a year..so crazy to me!! I know everyone says I can't imagine life without their baby but seriously we can't! Yeah it can be really really tough at times but we would not change anything for the life of us! Anyways at his Dr. appointment he weighed 11 lbs. and 11 oz. he has gained 8 pounds since he was born, And is 23.5 inches long and has grown 5 inches I would say pretty good! We did have to take him to the eye Dr. due to him having a tiny white dot on his eye.. but everything turned out good! Ash has discovered that he has a voice and will sit and talk "baby talk" it is the cutest thing ever! I try to get it on video but he must be camera shy.. Also on Valentines day 4 years ago my husband asked me to marry him! Best decision I ever made! I love you so so much Matt!! Can't believe it has been that long! Well Happy Valentines day everyone!

Christmas was fun this year!! The only thing missing was my husband:( and seeing his family. He had to work over the Holidays this year which I really really hated but next year he will have all of them off thank heavens!! On Christmas eve my family has a party at my parents house every year which is always really fun, Matt came and picked me up after he got off work at 11 and we opened presents from my parents that night since Matt was not going to be there on Christmas day. They spoiled us! Especially Ashton! He got lots of clothes toys and a very cute rain forest jumperoo that he can bounce and play with toys in he can't quite reach the ground so we put a pillow under him and he jumps and it plays music! He loves it! Then on Christmas day I spent the morning with Matt and Ash before he headed off to work. This year Matt and I got our presents from eachother early we kept finding good deals on stuff that we wanted so we would just buy it then. We bought ourselves a blu-ray player which we love and we received lots of blu-rays for Christmas that we can add in our collection. I can't believe that the new year is almost here! We had a very good and eventful year I can't wait to see what 2011 will bring us! Happy New Year!

Every year with the Parkin family we go and cut down Christmas trees. This year because of the wonderful weather we didn't think that we were going to be able to make it with the deep snow, but last Saturday the weather looked good so we went and found one! It was lots of fun! We didn't take Ashton because it was way too cold so he stayed with my mom and dad and they loved it! I love this time of year and it is going to be so much fun to have Ash around this Christmas even though he has no idea what Christmas even is but oh well! We went looking for a cute little Christmas stocking for him and found a very cute one it says First Christmas 2010 with a place to put a picture of him. Also every year on Christmas Eve my parents would always let us open one present, and of course every year it was...Pajamas and I always loved it. So I think it would be fun to do that with our little family so I better start searching for some cute little PJ's for him! Also Matt bought me a new camera for my birthday and Christmas I am absolutely loving it! I may being going a little overboard taking pictures but oh well! Merry Christmas! Sorry about all the Pictures...like I said New Camera.

Ashton is now almost 3 months, Crazy how fast time flies! He went to the Dr. for his 2 month visit and was 7 lbs. 10 oz. and 21 inches long! He is getting to be so big! He is becoming much more alert and will stay up for longer periods of time now so we can enjoy him longer. When we have him in his bouncer he will play with the little rattle on it, and is starting to hold his little head up for short periods up time. He also love love loves his bath time he just lays there so relaxed. As for Matt and I Matt has been working so hard to support our little family which I am so so grateful for his hard work! And I have been enjoying my time with Ash until I go back to work in January.

Halloween and More

For Halloween this year Matt had to work, so Ashton and I headed up to my parents house and carved pumpkins with my sister which was really fun! We can't wait for next year when we can dress Ashton up and actually take him out and Matt will be able to be home with us! Also yesterday was Ashton's due date it is kinda crazy he has been here two months and we could not imagine our lives without him being here! He is such a good little baby! We can feed him right before we go to bed and he will sleep a whole 6 hours for us and when he does wake up he just kind of whimpers! We are so blessed to have this cute little guy!

6 Weeks

Our little Ashton is now 6 weeks old! I can't believe it, he is getting so much bigger and healthier! We took him to his second Dr. appointment after getting out of the hospital on Tuesday morning. He is now 5 pounds and 13 ounces which is exactly one pound more then he weighed when we took him home from the hospital a week and a half before! We love this little guy so much and are so so happy to finally have him home!

Weight: For newborn he is at 0% and Preemie he is 10%

Height: For newborn he is 0% and Preemie he is 34%

Head: For newborn he is 1% and Preemie he is 50%

Ashton Matthew Parkin was born on Sept. 13 2010. He was 3 pounds 11 oz. and 18 in. long when he was born. He decided to come 8 weeks early and surprise us! Here is what happened. On Saturday night right before we went to bed I had one really bad cramp and didn't think much of it and then all through the night I was having contractions about 5 to 10 minutes apart so on Sunday at about 5 in the morning my water Broke and I kept telling myself that it wasn't my water and something else was happening and i kept having the really bad contractions but I didn't want to wake Matt up because I didn't want to believe what was happening. So When he finally woke up at about 9 AM I told him that something was not right and he called the Dr. office and it was Sunday so of course they weren't open so the lady that answers the phone said just go right to the hospital and the on call Dr. will be calling you back. So we get to the hospital and they get me in a room and start doing all of these test to make sure that it was for sure my water that had broke and sure enough it was! They nurse came in and said that I will be in the hospital until the baby comes weather it be tonight or two weeks (which is what they were trying to have happen) because I was 32 weeks and they wanted to try and keep him in until 34 weeks.That is when it really really hit me and I just started crying! I called my mom and dad who happened to be in Las Vegas at the time and my dad answered and me crying and tyring so hard to tell him what was going on said "Dad I am in the hospital agian" He says what is going on and I tell him He then says well your mom is not right here so I will have her call you right when I see her calm down everything will be just fine. About five minutes later I get a phone call from my mom who is frantic and crying as well saying she will be right here so will get on the next flight home and do not call your sister and tell her what is going on she will not know what to do so I will call her. So they do an ultrasound to make sure the baby was doing ok and then put monitors on me and on the baby to watch how he was doing. They also gave me a big shot of steroids to help his lungs develop faster. (OW! Those sure do hurt! and I had a bruise to show for it!)They also had to give me some more blood transfusions due to me being SO anemic they said that if I had to have and emergency C-section I would lose to much blood and possibly not make it. I kept having regular contractions and they would not let me get up to go to the bath room or eat anything! My mom in the mean time had called my sister to tell her what was going on she came rushing out and stayed for a while and my mom was not able to get on a flight so her my dad and aunt and uncle drove right home in record time! They dropped my mom off at the hospital my dad went home and got their car and drove back out. Matts parents came out as well as Derek and Michelle.While My parents were still there since we were not prepared for this Matt got the ok from the Dr. to run home and get stuff that he and I would need and they told him if anything at all happens while he was gone they would call him! Luckily just a few contractions. At about 9 Ashtons heart rate dropped and would not come up so they called about everyone in they could and flipped me over what seemed about 10 times to try and get it up again..It finally did. Then I told my mom to just go home and get some sleep and we will call her if anything at all happens. Well two times during the night the babies heart rate dropped really low and they were getting ready to take me to do an emergency C-Section but then his heart rate would go right back up. I remember my dad coming in early in the morning before he went to play golf to make sure everything was ok. Then my mom came and that is when everything started to happen on Monday around noon the contractions got much much worse and i went from a 3 to a 10 in less then an hour and they rushed me to the operating room where I had to have him so they could just hand him right to the NICU. I wanted so badly for my mom to be in there with me but there was just not enough time Matt barely made it because you either had to wear green scrubs or what they call a bunny suit. It all happened so quick the Dr. asked do you want to try an epidural or just push and I said just push! Then the anesthesiologist came running in flipped me over and did the epidural before i even knew it! I pushed 3 times and out came Ashton! Matt cut the umbilical cord They lifted him up showed us and then he was taken right to the NICU where he was put on oxygen for about an hour then was breathing on his own better so they took him off it. He stayed in the NICU for a month and a day which was one of the longest hardest months of our lives! It was an emotional roller coaster for the both Matt and I! But we have him home now and could not be more happy! He is such a good natured baby! He Weighs 4 pounds and 13 oz. now so he is growing big!

Well i think that we can finally announce that Baby Parkin is due November 3, 2010. Matt and I could not be more excited!! We will be able to find out what we are having on June 4 less than a month away!

Matt finally got his dream of having a boxer again.. She is adorable! Her Name is Kya and we got her on Septemeber 7th! Moose didn't know how to feel about her at first he was SO jealous but he loves her so much now!! All he wants to do it play!

Elk Hunt..

Well Matt has gone elk hunting two weekends, and the last weekend they talked to me into going up with them, and no i did not hunt I stayed back at camp with my sister in law and her girls! The weekend i went up they did end up getting one, I tried elk meat for the first time and it was actually really good! We made tons of jerky and that turned out to be so good!!

Matt has been asking me forever to put pictures up our our new house. I finally have gotten to it! I will need to take some pictures of the inside and post them as soon as i do! We sold our house and bought this one in April, we love it! Its so nice to have our own house instead of a condo and hearing everything going on next to us! And of course having our own yard!

Well it has been forever since I have wrote anything on here! Its time to start up again.. Well For the fourth of July we were able to go down to Lake Powell with my family for about 5 days! We had a such a fun time! When it was time to head back home it was depressing! But we will hopefully make it down one more time this summer before Matt has to start school up agian!

So Matt went on his last hunting trip of the year! Yay! I don't know that its a yay for him though he LOVES hunting! I get myself ready for these three hunting trips all year long and I am fine up until the day he leaves! But no luck this year maybe next...They did find a poor little hurt cow! Her leg was broken and the bone was sticking out! Poor little cow! I know there are pictures and i put them on my computer but now they are gone! When i find them again I will post them!

Today matt sold my car! I have had this car since i was 16 so it is kinda sad but it is definately time to get a new one! We are excited to go car shopping! We do have one little problem though... we will only have one car until we find a new one! So that means starting on thursday (because wednesday night they lady is comin to pick it up) matt is going to have to take me to work and pick me up. Oh well! Well when we do get our new car i will post some pictures of it! Wish us luck!

Matt Loves fishing and I have begun to really like it also. This past weekend we went fishing with my sister on the weber river and matt got me in a pair of waders and we walked down the river and fished it was so much fun! I never in my life thought I would ever do that but it was so much fun! I look really funny and they aren't the prettiest things but hey it kept me dry!

We Went camping with matts mom and dad and sister and her husband it was fun! I'm not exactly used to camping in tents so i was scared the whole time of bears and the guy in charge of the camp ground didn't help much either, he would come and tell us stories about bears that has been seen in the camp ground. Yeah scary! Matt also tought me how to fly fish and I actually caught one! Yay me! But we had a really fun weekend!

We Finally got a puppy on June 29th I have only been waiting a year! He is a mini weiner dog! I love him he is so much fun! We wanted a boxer but figured out that matt was allergic so we went with this kind until we get a yard of our own we can keep him in.
